About All-Star olympics

All-Star Olympics is an annual event that was started for children and adults with special needs that include physical or mental impairments. Much like Special Olympics, it consists of track and field events, as well as a variety of specialized events to meet the needs of our athletes. All-Star Olympics began in 2011 and was originally funded through a grant from the Altus Public Schools Foundation. The first All-Star Olympics consisted of approximately 50 athletes from Altus, OK. Since then, it has grown to over 150 athletes from Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. Our goal for All-Star Olympics is to have athletes with special needs who are unable to participate in typical extra-curricular activities have a feeling of accomplishment and self pride!
