All-Star Olympics is an annual event started for children with special needs. Much like Special Olympics, it consists of track and field events, as well as a variety of specialized events to meet the needs of our athletes. It began in 2011 and was originally funded through a grant from Altus Public Schools Foundation. The first All-Star Olympics consisted of approximately 50 students from Altus Public Schools. Since then, it has grown to approximately 150 students from Altus and surrounding schools. Our goal for All-Star Olympics is to have our special needs students who are unable to participate in extra-curricular activities have a feeling of accomplishment and self pride!
